MatrixPD Booth at RFID Journal's Live Show
Thursday, 25 August 2011 09:45

This article featured in RFID Journal was the result of a unique demonstration at our booth during the RFID Journal Live show in Orlando. Let me explain how a rubber chicken display got a lot of attention.

Dave Johnson (a Matrix PD engineer) and his son came up with the idea of using a small motor and a rubber chicken to show the purpose of the Wyze Temp sensor. The Wyze Temp sensor is an RFID wireless temperature monitor which monitors meat temperatures within industrial ovens. You can read the article here.

Anyway, the rotating rubber chicken drew a great number of people to the booth because it aroused curiosity. Click here to see the rubber chicken WyzeTemp display. We learned that when you show something fun or interesting at a show, you will get amazing results. Everyone who stopped smiled and of course asked questions. This is just what we wanted them to do. Through this, we were able to chat with them about their needs.

The editors of the RFID Journal were searching the show for new products and content to be featured in their magazine. Matrix PD got their attention and they did this article for us. We are thrilled.

While it may seem that I am bragging, I am merely trying to plant a seed of creativity within you. With a fun and creative idea, comes increased publicity at trade shows. This can lead to great opportunities for you, just as it did for us.

Are you struggling to find a way to monitor extreme temperatures? If you are concerned with making cooking easier for you or your customer, then maybe it’s time to consult with the Matrix Product Development team. Give us a call today and find out if there is a RFID solution to your problem. Ask for Ron Pulvermacher.
