How your hospital benefits:

  1. You do not need a direct line of sight to read RFID tags on consumable products
  2. You can read product ID tags from between 6 inches and 30 ft away.
  3. Read 100's or even 1000's of products simultaneously, instead of one at a time
  4. You can uniquely identify each RFID tagged product, not just one type of product (bar code)
  5. RFID tag's can be both read and written onto (example: expiration dates can be stored on tags)

You will simply need a hand-held or stationary scanner, RFID tags to place on your items, and a computer to place the inventory tracking software on. Once the tags are on the items, the system takes care of itself. New technology allows for this low cost, highly capable hospital inventory tracking system.

What does RFID mean?

RFID stand for Radio Frequency Identification, which is wireless communication through radio waves. The RFID tag used by the Wyze Scan™ system is capable of carrying 96 bits of data and is a passive RFID tag (no battery). A passive tag is only active when "read" by the RFID reader.
